I hope everyone has been enjoying their summer so far.

This week we attended Cultivate ’26 in Columbus, Ohio — the largest horticulture trade show in North America. In many ways, this event marks the beginning of a new year for us. Spring is fresh in our minds, we’re already evaluating what went well and what we can improve, and we’re looking ahead to the next growing season.

Cultivate is one of the highlights of our year because it’s where the entire industry comes together. Plant breeders, growers, suppliers, and horticulturists from around the world gather to share new genetics, innovative production ideas, and the latest trends in gardening.

And one of the best parts is that you never know what you’re going to see. One moment you’re looking at the newest petunia introductions, the next you’re running into a legendary plant breeder you’ve admired for years… or even gardening icon Martha Stewart walking the trade show floor.

For us, it’s a reminder of why we love this industry. Every booth offers a new idea, every conversation sparks inspiration, and every new variety has the potential to become someone’s favorite plant.

This week we’re sharing a few of the plants that stood out to us the most, and over the coming weeks we’ll keep highlighting more exciting introductions and the summer trials we’ll be attending. We can’t wait to share what’s coming next.

Happy gardening,

Caleb
