Sansevieria Hahnii “Bird’s Nest Snake Plant” Marginata: Sansevieria is one of our most popular houseplants due to its tolerance of pretty much any environment and extremely easy care level. These guys will take their time growing in a low light space, but will grow effortlessly if they are given a spot with more light. The bird nest “Hahnii” snake plant looks like a heavy-textured, open rose that grows slowly, with a dense rosette of dark green leaves with gray-green crossbands.
Light: Medium to bright indirect light is best for fast growth. They can tolerate lower light as well and do well in almost any environment!
Water: Low water needs. These plants are known to be able to go a month without watering.
Humidity: Sansevieria Hahnii will do great in normal home humidity.
Temperature: Normal home temperatures are fine for the Sansevieria Hahnii! If you’re cozy, it’s cozy.
Food: There’s no need to fertilize your Sansevieria, but you can fertilize your plant in the spring or summer if you’d like it to grow a little faster. Use any fertilizer made for indoor plants and follow the directions on the packaging. Leach the plant in summer by flushing with water to remove the salts left behind by fertilization.
Toxicity: Non-toxic and pet friendly.
Growth Habit/Shape: Foliage Variety. Grows no taller than 12″ with 6″-8″ being the norm.
